My wife and I went there for 3 nights and we had a nice time, but for the price we would have expected better. The room was tired looking, staines on the carpet, toilet seat coming off, single beds pushed together. The food was nice but to charge over £150 a night and not include a cooked English breakfast is not on. The staff are polite but not trained, which is not their fault and considering what everybody has been through recently is understandable. I feel maybe it is possible to get more for your money if you look around.

The rooms were absolutely not what were pictured on the website. I asked for the 2 rooms we booked to be close together they were not. I also asked for an extra bed which was agreed, This did not happen. The bathroom had mould all over it. The carpets were stained heavily. In the room none of the plug sockets worked and neither did the TV when I asked about it I was told there was nothing they could do and they couldn’t give me another room. I couldn’t charge my phone or watch TV after putting kids to sleep. When I asked reception in the morning what they could do the woman said just email the manager. I felt totally fobbed off by both receptionists and for £145 a night was not worth it. It’s a shame as the grounds and location are amazing and the bed was comfortable. Wouldn’t recommend

Exceptional service from our three night stay; from the late check in, to arranging the fizz for my partner’s birthday, staff went above and beyond. The breakfasts were lovely (even if we got some funny looks for requesting bananas) and the scenery was an absolute delight. Thank you very much!

I came with my dad and a group and I wanted to say a big thank you to Evie and Jasmine for looking after us. We could see that you were all working under challenging conditions. Lovely cream tea and friendly staff. More than enough food and a gluten free option was lovely. Also a couple of pots of tea so it was a very enjoyable afternoon.
