Malmaison Brighton

Really liked this place and also pet friendly as we were travelling with our cockapoo. We had a nice room with balcony overlooking marina. Spent some of our time out there watching the comings and goings of boats and marina life below. Hotel has a modern feel to it, very clean and rooms well appointed. You can park your car in adjacent public car park (no charge when we were there). Public transport very close outside and we took the bus to the train station whilst we were there as had to go up to London for a day trip (Brighton to London Victoria is about an hour on the train). Plenty of bars and restaurants very close by so great choice if you don’t want to stay in the hotel for your meals.

Me and a mate stayed for one evening and we really couldn't fault a single thing. The hotel itself is lovely. It's really modern, with a cosy bar with an outdoor terrace with a lovely view of the marina. We had a spacious and well equipped room that was immaculate. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. They had happy hour at the bar, too, which was an added bonus 🍻 the only slight negative was finding the place. It's pretty confusing knowing where to park and how to find the entrance, so we ended up having to ask people for directions for the car park and the hotel entrance, but that was genuinely the only very small issue we had. Will definitely stay again!

Much better than a lot of reviews. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. A small point but you can tell a decent hotel by its towels and these were big and soft, much better than a number of 5 star hotels we've stayed in!
