Specializing in small sharing plates inspired by the Mediterranean, regional wines, and house cocktails, The Merchant Room is a fantastic place to host a private dinner with loved ones, friends, or colleagues. Our Merchant Room can be hired for groups of up to 30 for a seated dinner or we can host up to 45 people for a standing reception.
There are multiple group set menus available for private parties which feature an array of Salt Yard’s most popular tapas dishes and are designed to be shared by the whole group.

February 2024Great food and atmosphere. Dishes are good size portions for tapas. Had basically all the veggie plates plus some flat bread. I think the courgette flower could have used a bit more honey, but that is my only feedback. Service excellent by Sinnhi, she was really attentive and friendly.

February 2024Great place to catch up with friends- chilled, great service, had a few tapas which were pretty good. Loved the padron pepper margaritas- just enough pepper flavour to compliment the gorgeous tequila they used and was even asked by Cesar if we liked it more sweet or sour- why thank you! Would definatly return, try other items on menu.

February 2024Great tapas and service. Atmosphere is more lively at dinner service than lunch but that isn’t surprising. Really impressed with our waiter and how passionate he was about certain items on the menu and wine list.

March 2024We came for my husbands birthday and the whole experience was so disappointing. The prawns in particular were horrible, they were over cooked, probably a day old, we had to send them back. At some point the food we ordered was not delivered and they asked us what dessert we wanted. After we shared feedback they did not make us pay any service charge and took the prawns off the bill at least. But I would not recommend.
