Nestled in the vibrant hub of Shoreditch, Close-Up is your go-to venue for all your screening requirements. Whether you're planning a press screening, corporate event, presentation, conference, cast and crew preview, or celebrating a Christmas or birthday party, we've got you covered.
Our state-of-the-art cinema is available to hire on an hourly basis, either as a stand-alone screening room or as a full venue hire. Our adjoined café and bar is fully licensed and offers a convivial atmosphere for drinks receptions or informal post-screening discussion. The 40-seat cinema is fully equipped with a 2K NEC D-cinema, 2 x Kinoton FP30-D 35mm and EX 6000 16mm projectors and Dolby 5.1 surround.
Café & Bar Our café & bar offers a unique setting surrounded by our film and book library. We also have a serene courtyard area, ideal for the summer months. From corporate hospitality to conferences to birthday parties our venue is also available for bespoke private hire.

February 2024I booked this cinema for a private screening of my new series 'Take-Awasian' on YouTube (cheeky plug!) and I can't complain! It was an intimate screening for 40 people and felt perfect for what I needed. The staff are really friendly and helpful when it came to the technical details, very responsive on emails and if I needed an urgent response they'd be quick to pick up the phone. They didn't rush or disturb any of my guests, they let everyone relax and have a good time in the venue. Everyone felt comfortable and actually didn't want to leave! A huge thank you to the staff at Close-Up Cinema, my guests and I left with a very sentimental memory of my series and celebrating Lunar New Year. I would definitely return for another screening and would highly recommend to others.

February 2024Jake and the rest of the team were absolutely amazing. Very accommodating in helping us to organise our private screening event. The cinema itself was perfect, and the bar area had a lovely atmosphere for our guests to relax and have a drink in after. I'd highly recommend the Close-Up if you want to see a film, or if you'd like to hire it out for your own event!
