Part of the Hilton Hotel, this branch of French gastronomy haven Aubaine overlooks Hyde Park and is as handy as it is well-decorated. As popular with locals as it is tourists, it’s a luxurious, relaxing space to set up camp for the afternoon (especially if the London weather is living up to its reputation).

We arrived just at 9.45pm and the kitchen was closing at 10 but the staff were still happy to accommodate us. We had the set menu which was great value and for the money the steak was delicious and a good portion, their curried butter seasoning is interesting and surprisingly good accompaniment to a nice steak. The steak was cook well and the chips nice a crispy. The dessert was also delicious and a good size which is unusual for set menus in London. The decoration is nice and the staff super friendly and helpful.

I’m a regular customer and as someone who loves breakfast and brunches and tried many other places nearby, I have to say the food and atmosphere are really great! Unfortunately, the service is not consistent and depending on the day and mood of the staff might be either great or a complete disaster! I keep going because of the food and atmosphere, also because is very convenient to me, but the service could be better. Hopefully will improve now that there is another really good similar restaurant in the new building only 5 min walk distance.

Lovely spot for breakfast. We sat outside to enjoy the lovely summer weather, food was good. The French toast looked fab!

Walked into Aubaine today on Bayswater Road. The food was fantastic, our waitress Ada was a star. The only thing, the poor waitress was all alone for hours. I watched her serve us as well as every other table, then watched her go to the bar and make each drink alone. Honestly, give the girl some help, she is so amazing and would be nice as a customer if i didn’t feel bad for ordering a second drink. Thank you Ada.
