Comfortable, tidy, clean and quiet hotel. I had a very good executive room looking into the central courtyard. The room temperature was easily controllable. Apparently, rooms overlooking the bus station can be noisy. Food during lockdown is delivered to your room and the kitchen is quick. Food is presented on proper plates with metal cutlery, not the cardboard/polystyrene takeaway trays that some other Holiday Inns do. This is very important to the stay experience for me and the rating reflects that. Breakfast was tasty and hot, on time with plenty of choice however some items requested were missed on delivery. Unfortunately the dinner menu isn't that good for choice and the food is average taste wise. Another downside for some is the lack of on site parking but it isn't that far (5min) to walk to the shopping center car park. Other than that it was an enjoyable stay. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

The staff were absolutely lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was gorgeous as was our evening buffet. The bar staff were efficient and cheerful and their large glasses of wine were huge! The rooms were big, very clean and the showers were first class. The meeting room and restaurant were both pleasant with great views over the river on one side and the city on the other. Fantastic value for money.

We were lucky enough to get an upgrade due to my IHG rewards status. The room was spacious and modern. The king bed was very comfortable. There were a few maintence issues with the room which was disappointing. Otherwise a fine stay. The hotel is just a few mins walk from the centre of town and the attractions.

work put me in here and breakfast was in the room rate. I suffer from vertigo and asked for the breakfast to be delivered as room service as the restaurant was on the top floor. Just to be told no. Key wouldn't work in the lift when I asked at reception the woman acted as if I was stupid. room was outdated shower in the bath was so slippy asked my company never to put me into this Hotel again. even had to walk to a local pub to get a decent meal.... but don't use the pubs across the road as they are not friendly to strangers.
