Beautiful venue. Lovely wedding day spent there. Lovely rooms too.

Perfect for a wedding. A lovely building with several small lounges where those family groups can congregate and catch-up. The wedding I went to (July) had the ceremony in the garden with a string quartet near the fountain - wonderful. The meal was in the marquee as was the evening celebration and buffet. The food was delicious. Towards the end of the evening it got a little chilly but the heating system was more than a match for that.

Attended a wedding here last weekend, it has the wow factor. The house is amazing as you would expect for its period, combined with a marquee attached at the back gave plenty of room and space for social distancing. The staff were first class. Wonderful event setting.

Venue was amazing but the management were awful, made a lot of promises to a good friend of mine who spent over £20k on the wedding and didn't deliver on half if what they said they would, staff were supposed to do cocktails but they were not trained, I had to teach them how to make them, poorly stocked and kept running out of various drinks. Very much a case of once the money was paid they could not have cared less, no help with packing up either. The Irish Duty Manager does not belong in hospitality, rude, unhelpful and couldn't have been any less welcoming to the guests. Lovely place, needs better management.

I did a trail shift for Soughton Hall on a Saturday, at the end of the shift I was told I would be paid. After my trial shift Soughton Hall did not only not pay me for the hours I worked but they also ignored all my emails and calls, after two calls of being told I would be called back, i gave up trying to contact. Not only did this happen to me but it has also happened to multiple other people I know, yet Soughton Hall are still advertising for jobs. This is very disappointing from a hotel that claims to be a luxury hotel. It has been 4 months and i have still not received any response or payment. Avoid at all costs.
