Beautiful museum and art gallery housed in a magnificent building in Shrewsbury town square. It's got Roman artifacts to modern fashion, archaeology and everything in between. Great place for a family visit with a play area, cafe and shop. It's free to enter, but you can help them with a donation.

Free entry but would have had no problem paying to get in. Really informative and guides were very helpful. Lovely cafe too. Will visit again soon.

Well laid out artifacts from the region with good descriptions. Good pictures, art and historic video. Intriguing portrait art piece of Darwin by Jaycock. Pleasant cafe. Good selection of info in shop. We purchased an excellent (human) guided walk of Shrewsbury.

A really be well thought out museum, lots of fascinating local history well linked with the bigger historical picture. Go and see the Sun Pendant while it's still on loan from the BM; it's incredible.

Incredible museum! Amazing exhibits spanning all the way from the Bronze Age with key archaeological finds from the surrounding areas. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. If you are in Shrewsbury, it is a must visit!
