Lovely room, good food and friendly staff. However, what would have been a fantastic break was marred by the disappearance of a bag of clothing from our room during our stay. The clothes had been worn and were placed in a carrier bag so I could take them home to wash. They were there when we went out in the morning and gone when we returned. I searched everywhere and they were not there. The room had been made up so I asked at reception if the housekeeping staff had accidentally thrown them away. The receptionist spoke to the cleaning staff and told me they had not seen or moved a bag of clothes. So £40 worth of clothes disappeared while we were out and we did not get an apology or offer of compensation. Next time we visit Aberdeen we will stay elsewhere.

(I would like a response to this please). Went out for lunch as I wanted to give the restaurant a second chance. I will never be back again. Awful once again. You need to train staff correctly. There was very little staff on and the service was terrible. After 30 minutes of sitting with nobody coming over I decided to order at the bar. The manager said he had a lot of room services. Ordered with him and I ordered a ‘brown bloomer’ sandwich. What arrived was not bloomer. Arrived was a plain tuna sandwich with butter and on white normal sliced bread (you could get in a loaf, not bloomer). The waiter took it back and replaced it with brown bread (again not bloomer; looked like cheap 50:50 bread costing 20p for the loaf). My nana got a baked potato which was stone cold but not like we could say anything because there was no staff. The salad was just some leaves out of a bag, some actual tomatoes or cucumber etc would have been nice in the sandwich or on the side. When our plates were eventually cleared the waiter (young boy with curly hair) didn’t say a single word. Took the plates away and didn’t ask how the meal was (nobody came and checked on us either). We ordered coffees even though he didn’t ask us if we wanted anything else, and when he took them over which we’re not much better. Eventually we went to the bar to pay as nobody came along to check. I understand you were under staffed but the staff still have a voice to speak to us. Awful service and will certainly won’t be back. Very very disappointed and I look forward to a response from a member of the team.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. However there are a couple of points I would like to make. All staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast needs a bit of thinking. I appreciate prepared fresh fruit in the morning and although there was some it was very little, a few slices of melon and watermelon and some chopped pineapple. I suppose this is a personal preference as there was apples, whole oranges and plums today but I don't appreciate having to deal with this first thing in the morning. I don't like spicy food either and I can't understand why restaurants want to spice up all their dishes. So I was left with very little choice at dinner. Glad it was only 2 nights as I would have run out of options.

Came here for lunch and it was very quiet but its a lovely place. Nice area outside and lots of car parking spaces. Latte came and it tasted off, was also spilled all over the saucer. Was given a replacement with no trouble when I asked and was much better. Meal was plentiful and good quality unfortunately let down by the cold plates that chilled the food quickly. Staff were nice
