Friendly, fast check in. Old, interesting building, hallways. Excellent location, near River and downtown. Breakfast was delicious, owner drove me to the train station. I would recommend The White Hart to anybody looking for character, cleanliness, creativity; something unique and very Dumfries :)

Excellent service and food! We can really recommend this place! Especially since everyone of the staff are so proffesional! This fact made our visit there so positive since they are so proffesional they are able to create such a welcoming atmosphere! We will be back! PS. Lovely dinner and we stayed the night as well. Updated and very comfortable rooms. The bed and pillows were very nice. It was sweet that we had a little deck outside our door with two chairs and a little table. We had our night cap right there. So romantic. The dinner service was right on. And very accommodating staff. A little pricey for the room.

Chilly atmosphere but delicious food. Inhospitable management.
