Stayed here on a Tuesday night for work and thought it was fantastic! Wish I had a few more days to explore it all. Service and check in was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner looked good although I didn’t eat and breakfast was very good, nice selection all prepared well. Beds were comfy and room was clean (had the basic double room which was still grand). Only grumble is I couldn’t call and speak to anyone prior as I wanted some advice on some bits. Other than that 5 stars from me!

The location is definitely the star of the show here. Staff were really nice and accommodating. We went for the Medieval Night which was really fun, all kinds of folks dressed up and having a good time. Show staff were great. A few points of feed back. Food was a little bit of a let down during the show, dry chicken. There was a lonnnnng wait to get to the toaster in the morning to the point I didn’t bother with the hot food at all. Our room was reallly warm during the night with no fan provided. All that being said I would definitely recommend!

Beautiful hotel and lovely location for a family trip. The hotel itself is very nice, however the room we got was not great. There was a green light in the room which I think was the smoke alarm, it seems broken by the previous guest and someone had shoved a soap in it. This made our sleep very unpleasant. The room did not seemed to be dusted properly and my family ended up with a bad allergic reaction. I contacted the hotel to report this, but there has been no response from them which is disappointing. Breakfast is just mediocre, nothing great or suited to a 4 star hotel. Would recommend going just for the location, nothing else.

We had a lovely afternoon tea. The food, tea and coffee were really nice but the service was very poor. The staff was absent. Shame that we had to pay the service charge. I should have refused it when paying for the bill. The hotel and grounds are very beautiful and well maintained.
