Very good venue to perform at. Staff are lovely. Particularly this senior technician in skinny jeans

An arts space that feels welcoming and fresh! Set on the back of Cannon Hill Park it hosts an array of local and international artists, in its various gallery spaces. It also hosts live performances such as plays, and screenings of films. The main gallery upstairs is simply amazing. It has a gift shop, a bar and a restaurant. Even without visiting the various exhibitions it is a place you can simply meet up with friends for lunch or a drink. Would definitely recommend. Ps it is also outside the clean air zone!

The cafe has become an absolute joke. I loved it here when my daughter was growing up but the new staff and new cafe since reopening are abhorrent! Maybe 6 tables of people inside and 3 outside but somehow it took 15mins for 2 hot drinks and 2 croissants and even then a drink was wrong. Pathetic excuse from the staff that tickets are done in order, there were more than enough staff for it not to take that long or for it to at least be correct and an apology to be given for the wait. Plenty of time for staff to stand around twiddling thumbs but tables were filthy and customers being made to wait for substandard service. What a joke!

What I liked about the MAC last time I visited was the welcome at the Cinema. Over the 30+ years I have been coming here: the films, plays, events and music have generally been good; the classes good; the food generally awful - we can live with that; and the staff, sadly (and with the exception of the box office staff who are always helpful) a bit indifferent. So, it was really lovely to get a welcome to the place from staff at the box office and the cinema who were - as well as being professional - just plain nice. And, I - someone who has been coming here for years - actually enjoyed the film a lot more. Now, imagine the difference that might make to someone who has only just set foot in the place?
