Great food & really friendly, helpful staff. Lovely atmosphere. We were a large party and they still catered for individual needs. One of the best meals out we’ve had. Would highly recommend.

Food is amazing. Best homemade pie, Garvey, and mash I have ever had. Amazing service from very friendly staff. Worth the hour and a half drive for lunch

Wide choice of good beers, lovingly prepared and v tasty food in generous portions (braised venison shank a standout). Attentive, warm and perfectly pitched service from all staff, with canine companions also made very welcome. All in all, a perfect evening in a lovely trad pub setting.

Lovely food, good prices, friendly chatty staff and Chipping Norton is a nice town to visit. There's no specific parking for the pub but plenty of car parks and on street parking nearby. There is another Chequers pub around 2 miles up the road in the next village, if you're sat navving your way there make sure you put in the right postcode. We'll definitely be back soon (and we'll go to the right one first this time...) :)

An absolute hidden gem in Chipping Norton. Friendly staff and stunning food at a good price that completely took us off guard. Great atmosphere and they were able to fit us in during peak hours. Can not recommend this place enough. Go visit if your in the town!
