Attended a wedding, amazing service all the staff were fantastic. Only downside was dinner wasn't hot enough by the time they had served everyone. But would highly recommend Fanhams Hall.

A mansion that suddenly appears in a quiet countryside area. The female staff at the reception were very kind, and the first impression was good. The central hall has been renovated, and sunlight pours in, giving it a sense of openness. The fusion of old and new is in perfect harmony. The vast grounds are decorated with a Japanese garden and lanterns, which impressed me as a Japanese person. The room was clean and well-equipped, and the bed was the most comfortable I've had in a long time. The breakfast menu was extensive, and the restaurant, decorated in a Japanese style, was open and very nice. I would definitely recommend this lodging to everyone.

Lovely location with wonderful gardens. Service was good and pleasant and the rooms were furnished nicely although could do with a little attention but nothing too bad. Only stayed 1 night and had breakfast in the morning which was very nicely cooked. Also cereal and continental breakfast available/as well. I will go back and stay again and visit the surrounding area. Very delightful πŸ™‚

Lovely hotel, lovely gardens, fantastic breakfast. The staff were great, even showing me a few original features of the manor house. My room was suitable for a single overnight stay. If you are looking for a wedding location, or a more romantic getaway, I would come here.

I was treated to afternoon tea by my granddaughter, a birthday gift from her. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and we were very happy with the selection and quality of the food. However I wasn't happy about the service charge. I always tip if service is good, which it was. Staff are paid to do the job of serving by the establishment. The establishment should not be asking the customers to make up for low wages to their staff. This is not America. Of course I am aware that a service charge is not mandatory and I could have requested the charge be deducted from the bill but this puts the onus on the customer. I know my granddaughter would have felt uncomfortable if I had done this. In future I feel tips should be at the discretion of the customer. Otherwise a lovely experience
