Located in the heart of the West End of Glasgow sits The Bothy; a unique Scottish Restaurant just off the fashionable Byres Road.
Our venue can provide you with two private function rooms for your special day. If you’re looking for a small and quiet reception, our Snug is available with the capacity to hold up to 8 guests. However if you’re looking to host a somewhat larger event, our Private Dining Room, located on the first floor and host to country décor and a warm feel, can accommodate 22 guests for your sit down meal.
Here at The Bothy, we can provide you with a full day package that will include catering and room hire, or a breakdown rate can be provided to include your specific needs. We can provide you with a wonderful Scottish venue full of traditional charm and cheer. Surrounded by your closest friends and your loved ones, we can create the perfect day for you, whether you’re looking for a drinks reception or a wonderful sit down meal.
The Bothy also has an onsite wedding coordinator who will be on hand to make sure that everything runs smoothly on your special day. At a Bothy Wedding, every guest sits at the top table!

Brilliant dining experience. The steak cooked to medium rare is exceptional as well as the venison shin. We usually do not order dessert but the cheese cake and apricot are simply well worth trying. The menu is not large which is good and there is a fantastic atmosphere and tentative staff. I would recommend a visit when in Glasgow.

Great food, when sunny the outdoor is a charming place. The interior is very nice too. The food is fine and comfy. Really recommend for creative food or good classic. Nice wine selection and craft beer.

Food was nothing but amazing. I don't eat intestines and all that so despite i wanted to try Scottish food i have very limited options. I chose this restaurant as they are branded as Scottish but still has some options that i can eat. We had the sea bass and salmon. We also had green beans side dish. Amazing We were so well fed. The truffle potato mash was just gorgeous. The drinks were nice too we had mocktail and the pink one was recommended by the staff She was so lovely! I didn't have e a reservation and we walked in around 6.30pm. Super happy Highly recommended.
