The Wave, The View

My partner did the beginners one as never done it before and he had a great time! Would definitely go again. We went June last year, and the weather was just right! The water was warm too :)

Had never been to a wave pool but after coming here once I’m hooked! Really great waves suitable for all levels and the staff are all super helpful and friendly. There’s good vibes all around and the sauna is a bonus!

My Girlfriend and I have just had the best Wave experience this past weekend. I participated in two beginner lessons to make the most out of my day at The Wave. The lessons were absolutely incredible and got me up and riding 90% of the beginner waves. The surf coaches were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable with tailored tips and advice for each individual surfer in my group, as they really do observe you individually. Ollie was by far my favourite and is such a lovely guy. We were so excited and happy to be there, we went on to spontaneously book ourselves in the couples tent with a Waikiki surf lesson for 10:30 am the following morning. India (front desk) is one of the loveliest humans you’ll ever meet and extremely helpful, she had us booked and ready for our next 24 hours at the Wave. The couples tent is indescribable, a beautiful fire place to keep you warmed up on the sofa while to talk about the day and experience. It’s basically glamping with a 10/10 score. Beautiful safari tents, loads of space, kitchen, lounge, bedroom, toilet and an outside space for with amazing and helpful staff. The following morning we stormed up a breakfast in our tent, had a hot shower and popped over to check in for the Waikiki lesson. All the surf coaches were very excited for me and threw so much encouragement my way, popped up on my first Waikiki wave on the first wave and road it down the line all the way to the end. I was able to get up on 95% of the waves and practice my turns and techniques that were taught to me by the Wave surf coaches, again I had Ollie who taught me in the beginner session the day before. He knew exactly where I was with my progress and acted on it accordingly. In between lessons I was able to speak to the board technician (Matty) who has over 30 years of experience, he was very quick to put his tools down and provide me with same incredible advice as a beginner. All in all, I am booked in for next weekend and the weekend after, the Wave, its staff, the vibe, the food and the entire rhythm of this community is absolutely incredible and I am very happy to be apart of it, I can’t recommend it enough.
