Many of its original features remain, yet the hotel has been tastefully restored with a stylish mix co-ordinating both old and new.As an approved venue for civil ceremonies we provide the perfect alternative to a registry office or traditional church service. We have elegant & stylish rooms to suit all, some featuring beautiful chandeliers, hardwood floors & ornate fireplaces. There are 100 bedrooms each offering you full en-suite facilities.Our Meeting & Events team work with you throughout the planning of your event to ensure every attention to detail is fulfilled.

First stay here and we are well and truly blown away! A massive shout out to Rosien and the other receptionist whose name I didn’t manage to catch for their outstanding service - a credit to the company. All the staff were lovely, the room spotlessly clean, amazing location. Ambers breakfast was lovely and we won VIP of the day which means we got free drinks and an upgraded room! Couldn’t thank anyone anymore for making my Husbands birthday so special!

Beautiful, old, building with very clean, modern rooms. Comfortable beds, room was spotlessly clean. Surprisingly quiet too. No traffic noise and I didn't hear any noise from other guests at all. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal and the food was delicious. Great breakfast too. It's also very easy to drive to and has a large car park. I would definitely stay there again.

First stay just finished. Great location in a beautiful setting. Lovely quiet room. Staff lovely. I would agree with other guests that the corridors and rooms could do with some repair in places/updating. Breakfast was nice and catered for gluten free. Would have liked more dairy free options. Also would have appreciated some herbal tea option in the room for those who are dairy free. Would recommend this hotel.

We were staying Friday night to Sunday We checked in and the service was great. We had an excellent bar meal with great service on the Sat however back to our too. At 4pm and it had not been refreshed as requested No fresh towels or replacement tea cups etc My husband called reception and was assured this would be sorted. We then went out for dinner and returned at 730pm and this was not sorted We went back to reception and a lovely evening receptionist Sorted fresh towels and drink condiments. The room was stifling hot all of the time we had the window open all of the stay which was a little stressful with a toddler.

Room was OK if dated, and a bit hot. Bed was pretty comfortable though. Took two stars off because the rooms look nothing like they show on their website. Ours (pictured) was a "superior" room. Did have a view of the garden though.
