Went for a wedding. Great setting and ample parking. 2 electric charging points. Reception had 2 non alcoholic beers which was pleasant surprise for drivers. Marque was supperb as was the buffet. Tasty range of options including veggie. Good place and pleasant efficient staff.

Great hotel. Would say it’s a little on the weaker side for value with limited amenities, lack of concierge and staff were blunt in saying there’s nothing to do locally. Staff were welcoming but did feel ever so slightly under staffed in the lounge/bar area with no one attending at all having to walk around to look for someone. Simple English breakfast in buffet style (served due to covid). Rooms did not have air conditioning. Happy with my experience but was left feeling like I overpaid slightly for room prices.

Secluded location, yet not far from the A12 and therefore good road links to London and East Anglia. Handsome building with very friendly and attentive staff. Met up with family for a meal. Food was very good. I couldn't fault my herb crusted lamb; it was tender and cooked perfectly. FYI Covid safe measures in place and felt very safe. Definitely have it in mind to visit again.

Lucky enough to have been The Father of the Bride 23/10/21. Superb day everything went like clockwork. Stayed Friday and Saturday night in a lovely room with a super comfortable bed. The food at the Wedding was fantastic,staff very attentive, polite and made the day a great success. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and the Marque where the wedding took place was huge. Many thanks for all your help in making my daughter's day a great success

Lovely hotel set in the countryside outside of Chelmsford. Staff are really courteous and friendly, going above and beyond on helping out with special requests. The rooms are really spacious and well appointed. There are also 2 rooms with interconnecting doors allowing larger families to sleep in comfort. Recommended.
