It looked really nice from the outside and the reception area does look grand. The rooms are a bit of a let down. We had a standard double and it really was basic. The room was tiny, hardly any space between the bed and a wall one side and a window the other side. The room looked out onto the road and the window was made up of two sliding panes. One was wedged open and it let all the outside noise in. We mentioned it the next morning and one woman knew what we were on about and sent a maintenance guy to remove the wooden block holding it open. There was no complimentary bottles of water in the room, the kettle was scaled so I didn't want to use it. Bathroom was OK, shower screen leaked so made a huge puddle on the floor. Only stayed 2 nights, very close to town centre and train station. Couldn't hear any train noise at all, so that was good. Stayed in better hotels.

Placed looked amazing when we walked in. We visited in December so the hotel had its Christmas trees up. However the toilets were disgusting for a hotel like this. Seats hanging off. Extremely dirty, no toilet paper. In all the pubs I’d been in, in hull none were as disgusting as this place. Totally shocked and disappointed. Staff slow as serving. People sat around waiting for food and maybe to pass the time. Expensive drinks but what do you expect from a hotel near the station. I’ll be giving it a miss next time.
