Elmley is a 3,300 acre family estate and national nature reserve on an island on the Kent coast, just 40 miles from London.
A vast wilderness. The spectacular landscape, soul stirring skies and breath-taking wildlife provide a truly inspirational escape.
We provide an extraordinary setting for a off-sites, retreats, special events and luxury stays or simply to immerse yourself in fresh air, space and nature.
We have a range of spaces to use:
Kingshill Barn - an amazing rustic cathedral like space with amazing views and large outdoor area for events, parties, weddings, and meetings.
Kingshill farmhouse is a wonderfully restored Georgian house in a stunning setting sleeping 12 in six bedrooms with en-suites.
Elmley Cottage is a modern, open plan scandi-haus sleeping 10 with panoramic views of the Reserve.
We also offer six cabin and shepherds huts each sleep two with kingsize beds, en-suites, fire pits and stunning views.
The Reserve - 3000 acres of wetland wilderness, flower rich meadows and abundant wildlife.

January 2024We just spent a night at Elmley, staying in the Vanellus cabin and we had the best time! We received the warmest welcome from the lady at the gate when we first arrived and every member of staff we met was so friendly and kind! The meal we had delivered to our room was so tasty, and the bacon butty for breakfast was delicious! It is a beautiful nature reserve, and we walked for hours with our highlight being spotting a wild barn owl! It was an incredible stay and I highly recommend!

January 2024Stunning!! Absolutely incredible. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The birds were out in full force and I saw everything (apart from the Long Eared Owl) that I wanted to see, and more!! I honestly can’t rate this place highly enough. If you’re thinking of going, absolutely go! Don’t think twice about it. We were lucky enough to stay for a weekend (2 nights) and it was fab. The views from the shepherds hut were outstanding. The food was a little pricey for what we got but it was very tasty and filled us up (we like food haha!) We spoke with a lovely lady called Fiona who showed us where to find a second pair of Little Owls - we only thought there was one pair! Thanks Fiona if you read this! We were the couple watching the Bittern with you on Sunday morning!

March 2024We visited for a Corporate away trip and it was exceptional! The staff were amazing and very organised, thank you so much. The location is 10/10 and the accommodation is finished to such a high standard. Would highly recommend.
