Lanwades Hall is an elegant and historic venue located in the picturesque countryside of Suffolk, just a short distance from the town of Newmarket. The hall dates back to the 16th century and is surrounded by 120 acres of stunning parkland, making it an ideal location for a wide range of events. It has welcomed King Edward VII as a guest in the past and offers privacy and exclusivity where you can host your event. It features a stunning entrance flanked by mirrored gate houses with wrought-iron gates. Beyond that sits a grand mansion at the end of a tree-lined driveway.

The Drawing Room is set out with comfy leather sofas, perfect for relaxing! This room also holds the bar. Being close to the main entrance means it is the ideal place to receive your guests. With dual aspect, you can soak up the view over the surrounding paddocks or relax on the window seat looking up the tree-lined avenue.
If you decide to go for a cosy winter wedding, your guests will be able to enjoy the lovely fire from the grand fireplace in the middle of the room - the smell and the crackling sound is a perfect welcome to your delegates

February 2024We couldn’t be happier with the service provided from Lanwades, from the start of our planning process until our wedding day. The tour we received when deciding on venues was perfect, and we were taken aback by the sheer beauty of the venue and its grounds. We were sold right away! During our booking process Charlotte, Elvis and the team were incredibly helpful and accommodating to our wants and needs - we requested a relatively unusual twilight wedding for which they offered a bespoke package - right from the off nothing was too much trouble. Throughout our planning process Charlotte, who was our designated Wedding Co-ordinator, was punctual, knowledgable and helpful with her responses to any queries concerns or questions we had. Again, nothing was too much trouble and we truly felt in the safest of hands! As for the wedding day itself, it was clear from both of our perspectives the passion and desire to deliver the perfect day to all who choose Lanwades for their wedding venue, from their incredible team. Everything (and I really mean EVERYTHING) went off as smoothly as could be, and we had the perfect day - we truly believe the service we received wouldn’t have been provided better by any other venue or team. We would recommend Lanwades most highly to any and all who are wanting to get married!

February 2024Our wedding was in November 2023. Being the winter season, we wanted somewhere cosy and inviting. Lanwades was perfect for this. The hall is already decorated and furnished in such a way that it feels ready for you to walk straight in to, but there’s plenty of opportunity to add personal decorations to suit your colour scheme and taste. We spoke primarily with Charlotte, who was an absolute dream throughout planning and on the day itself. She had every answer we needed, was flexible with last minute changes, and was a key part of our experience. Everyone in the team that we interacted with was friendly and supportive, we could not have asked for better. From planning through to tidying up, we were assisted throughout. The bridal suite is absolutely beautiful and made a perfect place to get ready. The morning after the wedding, the Lanwades team had gathered all of our belongings and boxed them for us. We cannot recommend Lanwades highly enough. Our experience with them was wonderful from start to finish xx
