To celebrate my birthday, the children and myself opted to visit Camino in Kings Cross. It is located in a quaint yard which is a stone throws away from Kings Cross Station. We opted for some drinks at the bar which included a Madri draught beer and a cocktail which was made with rum and Cava. These were enjoyed in the outside heated area. We proceeded then to the reception area where we were guided to our table. I opted for a glass of Montada Tinto which was a lovely red wine packed with fruit and vanilla gutsy flavours. We ordered a variety of items. They included Calamari, selection of chorizo on a board, prawns in chilli, chorizo tacos and the star of the show:a fillet steak of Ibérico pork with sweet potato purée, parsley and fresh lemon picada. This was exceptional. To finish we ordered desserts, these encompassed a flourless chocolate almond cake, Basque cheesecake and a Torrija (Spanish-style pan-fried egg brioche, cinnamon ice cream and golden raisins soaked in moscatel wine) Service was efficient and smooth,

I visited Camino on Saturday 29th June with my family before meeting my friends. I was looking to enjoy the afternoon and eat amazing tapas. However, I had the worst experience and time of my life. We ordered sangria and tapas. The calamari were really very greasy and salty. On addition to that the waiter dropped a glass of sangria on me and I was all covered in sangria which was really sad for me as I was wearing white clothing.I had to go back home and get change as I was meeting my friends later. Not just that but I had to pay the bill and only the sangria was taken from bill

Great decoration. Great location. But the food…. I think something was a bit off with my meal and everything from the staff’s vibes till the portion’s size was way below average. Maybe if you are looking for a place for a quick bite / drinks for a date could work because the decoration is actually phenomenal, other than that, this place seriously needs a change of management asap
