We built our venue to feel like home, and that's exactly what we are told it feels like by everyone that comes and spends some time with us. We have two floors. Upstairs, a bar with plenty of natural light that also looks gorgeous as the evening draws in, lit by fairy and candle light. Down stairs serves as the disco dungeon where you and your party can throw some wicked shapes underneath the splendour of a glitter ball.

We have a classic cocktail menu, draft beers, awesome wines and gorgeous spirits.

Our aim is to make venue usage as simple as possible. We rarely ask for minimum spend, there's no huge deposits and our staff are a delight to work with . As a sometime music venue all audio requirements can be easily met and the space is yours to decorate as you wish.

We can't wait to have you with us.

This adaptable space has a bar, sofas, music playing facilities, as well as decorative foliage and fairy lights.

We like to keep things simple so the whole building is yours for £800 as minimum spend.

The venue can also offer a musical team-building or stag and hen package. Get in touch for details

I’m just finishing my second course (Beginners and now Improvers) and the long and short of it is that this is an amazing way to learn or just enjoy guitar. I’d recommend it to anyone! Highlights - Thomas creates a WhatsApp group and lets everyone know about completely optional group sessions on top of classes. No aspect of this or the classes is scary, any ability is fine (I’m a rubbish player myself) - The social aspect. Everyone is super friendly and the classes feel relaxed and non-judgemental of ability. I kinda thought I’d hate this but it’s what’s kept me practicing and turning up. - The sessions. Sometimes I can’t keep up with content due to work etc but you don’t fall behind because they mix it up which means it’s always fun. If you like a certain song or music, Thomas will often incorporate that in the lesson. So this doesn’t sound like a paid advert, I’d just say that this is a fun, social relaxed way to learn guitar. If you want something highly structured, 1:1 and disciplined in terms of “coursework” and levels etc, this ain’t it. For me, it’s perfect.

The Guitar Social offers a unique approach for advancing your guitar skills, from picking up the instrument to playing songs in no time and dipping in basic theory concepts. It all happens in a cosy café off King's Cross in a very welcoming and encouraging environment where you get to meet and play with others under the guidance of Thomas, an exceptional teacher who always keeps things fun and interesting! Would recommend without hesitation!

Very disappointed! I paid £80 and ... 2nd lesson cancelled at short notice...3rd lesson cancelled with no notice ... promised online resources - non-existent. I paid £80 for one month's membership, the website promising a program of lessons, backed up by a comprehensive array of online resources. The second lesson was cancelled by email less than 2 hours before it was scheduled to start, The third lesson was cancelled with no advance notice - I only found out after travelling five miles across London, to be greeted by closed premises and a hand-written note in the window. The online resources didn't exist. When I brought this up at the first lesson, the owner of Guitar Social promised to send an email with resources for that day's lesson attached. Nothing was sent. When I complained and requested a refund, the owner agreed to provide one. Nothing was done. When I queried this, he reneged on his previous commitment and declared that no refund was due.
