We were due to have our wedding here but then covid 19 struck. They refused to refund us in full even though we had paid the full balance and I am due to be made redundant. They only care about themselves. I would avoid. Food is good when we have eaten there though so if you want to have cake or a meal then I guess go for that. Don't give them your wedding money. Take it somewhere else. Edit: In the end we had to take them to court and won our money back. It took a long time and a great deal of stress. This despite them being written to by the competition and markets authority on more than one occasion advising that they should refund customers if requested in situations such as ours. We had even offered via a solicitor to let them keep £1000 for doing nothing to avoid going to court but they wanted to keep more than £2000 seemingly only interested in profiting as much as possible from our cancelled day. Reluctantly, we felt we had no choice but to go the distance. People seem to have had a great wedding here and I am happy for them. Those are genuine I am sure. I genuinely hope our tale of woe is the exception and Secret Garden have learnt from this episode to put customers first. Just be careful when dealing with this lot.

Had an amazing afternoon tea. We required special diets and these were perfectly fulfilled. Excellent service and the food was the best quality. Would definitely recommend. We can't wait to go back. Thankyou to all the amazing staff.

We got married here in August and were completely blown away by how well everything went, it's definitely testament to the team at the secret garden. They were extremely helpful with preparations leading up to the wedding which made the day run so smoothly. We both felt very well looked after and the whole day was so well organised. Food and drink was lovely and so many of our guests were saying how great the venue was. Harry, Josie and the team made it so easy for us, it was everything and more we could have asked for. What a lovely place by the countryside! Amazing venue, quiet but very close to the motorway, hotels, and supermarkets. Great food and drinks. Well mannered staff and courteous hosts. Nothing to complain about. We had a great day as wedding guests here.

My family planned my baby shower in one of their event rooms here at The Secret Garden and it was absolutely beautiful. The afternoon tea and cakes were stunningly presented and tasted just a lovely. The grounds are well kept and beautiful to walk through and the service and staff were on hand constantly if we needed anything particular. 3 hours just didn't seem long enough but it really was such a wonderful day and a wonderful venue. Would recommend 100%
