I love this hotel so much, the staff are super friendly and they’re always so welcoming to me even though they see me basically every week 🤣 The food menu could be improved with healthier sides like salad because I always feel so fat after eating the generous portion of chips. I love the rooms they’re so comfortable and the location is SUPER close to the bus station which is ideal for exploring the midlands 😎

Much improved with the removal of the undesirable element of guests. Food could be better but staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. No issues with my room so happy days.

I think the location is good but it’s really difficult if you need to drop off bags and then try and find a place to park. The hotel is let down by the entrance and “public” area which is cold and unwelcoming (and not secure) The reception is (or at least was) understaffed when I checked in. On a positive note the staff were all very nice, the room was spacious and the breakfast was good too.

Don’t understand how this is a four star hotel, other than the fact it’s £150 for a midweek night in Derby. Nice enough in its own terms but the heating is broken term and one side is directly above a bus station. It was fine in mid Jan but it would have been hell if it was too hot to sleep with the window closed.

I'm pretty sure it's being operated by a slum lord. The heating doesn't work, so you get a standalone space heater. The wifi drops to 1 Mbps every 3 minutes. The restaurant is always out of something. The location is next to the main bus station and a casino, so it's surrounded by drunk morons always getting into fights in the evenings. Parking is a 5 minute walk away. Where almost every other hotel has upgraded to the more reliable RFID cards, this place still has the old mag-stripe cards which make you stand in front of your room, repeatedly sliding it in and out like a retarded pervo, hoping for a green LED to grant you access into the room you paid 150 pounds for. The only saving grace is that the staff are extremely polite, genuine, and as helpful as they can be with the tools they are given. I truly wish they all worked for a better-managed hotel, because they are absolutely delightful.
