Spent a week here on a work trip, the staff were great and couldn't do enough to accommodate, the food was also great, in particular the breakfast and afternoon tea. I feel the 2 rooms I stayed in were quite dated and could do with a refresh, this did not detract from an overall good stay.

This was our 3rd visit and some things have change since our last visit about 8 yrs ago. Staff are amazing, nothing too much trouble. Food excellent and surrounding beautiful for a walk. Large golf course, so we'll set out. Little disappointed with our rooms tho, as a Gold Marriott member was surprised to get 2 rooms with a lounge (which we booked) KS bed but view left a lot to be desired. If you like roof tops, the rooms 112 and 212 are for you, but not us. Shame because everything else was superb. Be aware not suitable if you cannot manage steps or stairs.

The positives of this were the staff who were helpful and professional (from the staff on reception to the ladies who cleaned the room). They could not have done more for us. The room was spacious and had a decent sized desk (for a hotel)...important if you are working away. The room was particularly clean and well appointed. The negatives are that the pool is closed for swimming lessons etc for a considerable periods and seems quite busy during other times. Not a space for a relaxing swim. I would also avoid eating in the restaurant.

Everything was perfect room was clean and tidy. However the food was poor at best. Taking nothing away from the hotel other people’s food looked amazing however the burger me and my wife had was over cooked and hard. The staff had offered to replace but the burger would be the same and that is the way they are cooked. So we declined and travelled to another place to eat because of the amount of time we had waited. The drinks that I had ordered was off and Smelt stagnant however The staff was understanding and accommodating Chris had been amazing and without dropping him in it couldn’t be any more helpful and deffo would come again.Chris is an amazing host definitely a credit to the hotel [give him a pay rise]Also the grounds are amazing
