Wonderful Sunday Lunch for Grandsons Birthday. Everything was perfect the location in a Historic Building dating from 1239 the Blackfriars Priory. The ambience, the carved wooden dining chairs, the huge wooden tables along with the professionalism of the staff at all levels made the day. The food was piping hot at table, and as we eat with our eyes firstly, the presentation made us all want to pause the conversation and enjoy. All the staff on the day made a wonderful dining experience we will be back for more of the same. Alan R.

We had the set menu at lunch time for our anniversary. The food was excellent and at a good price. The service was very attentive and the setting made the experience really special. I would definitely recommend.

Nice food in a fabulous old world style setting. Service was ok, nothing amazing but adequate. We were a large group and were meant to be in the banquet hall but ended up spread over two tables which wasn't ideal. If you want a historical or romantic feel then definitely recommend

A lovely place for a special birthday, decent food which was well presented. Locally sourced ingredients and an extensive cellar of wine... apx £75 a head including a couple of glasses of wine. Visit slightly marred by absolutely foul(as in 100% his mother would be ashamed) language from adjacent table hey ho. In all a lovely evening

Quality of food was amazing at a very reasonable price. Reason for 4 star rating is that they sting you on drinks prices. £40 for 3 glasses of wine. Service very good and lovely atmosphere
