At the Queensgate, we see meetings in the context of people’s communication needs and how they relate to the objectives users have set for the meeting. That’s why our meeting rooms are furnished with up-to-date communication tools, plus have built in flexibility to change to suit your agenda. This is complemented by our approach aimed at easing your organisational burden. That way, you have the opportunity maintain focus on what is important for your company and have productive meetings.
All rooms are air conditioned and come complete with white boards, a variety of “creative” props, flexible lighting, white paper and other accessories. As options, you may add the video conferencing suite, full or portable projection facility, TV quality recording of your meeting in which you control the cameras, or they can be manned, or set to auto.

We also have a range of value added services, the variety of which will surprise you. These include the services of experienced coaches who can facilitate more productive meetings; or behaviour profiling (DISC) for better teamwork, or pre-interview for better candidate selection. How can we provide such a wide variety of specialist services?
In two ways; the first is that the hotel hosts a Centre of Business and Personal Excellence and so affords us the services of experienced business coaches. The second reason is that hotel’s philosophy is to act as a conduit for networking for the local community – if we can’t do it ourselves, we normally know somebody who can!
Meeting facilities we can provide include:
•meetings rooms for 2 up to 60 in luxury theater style, or can accommodate more if delegates are hosted in standard chairs
•board room facilities for up to 5, 12, 35 delegates
•flexible communications hardware – wireless and wired net in multiple location in the room
•full projection facility, with capability of two computers connected to the projector, so you can switch between the main presenter and a secondary presenter
•portable screen and projector for added flexibility
•full air conditioning
•meet and greet facilities for your guests – you have your own receptionist!
The perfect multi-purpose room, can be added to the Sapphire Suite to make a 100m2 meeting space or used as a breakout or the perfect premium board room for up to 12.

Room was ok, good size. It's a very old hotel with not much invest, you can see and feel it. Buts it's absolutely fine and overall clean. The location is a little outside, not really anything around in walking distance. Stiff was very friendly.

The best things about the hotel is, free parking and within easy walking distance to the centre. We arrived and booked our car into their system and then walked into the centre, we got back around 8pm, I had asked for a ground floor room, but had been told had to wait till we arrived, we were on first floor. Room was at the front overlooking the road which wasn't a problem good double glazing, it was small but adequate, lack of power sockets next to the bed means having to put your phone away from the bed. The double bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small, it had a shower over the bath, but you can't adjust the temperature it is what it is, worse the toilet seat was broken and we had to go and ask for more toilet paper. Breakfast was included just as well as to pay £9.50 for it, I would sooner go to Spoons. Selection of packet cereals, dried out pastries, and the hot selection did not look appetising. They didn't mind if you brought outside food back to your room. Would I stay there again, probably not.

Hotel is 10 mins walk from the very edge of the city centre and involving crossing a convoluted set of traffic lights. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the room was clean, if a little shabby around the edges. Toilet took a very long time to refill after flushing and shower temperature wasn't easy to adjust. Bed was extremely comfy and we slept really well. Overall I'd say it was good value for the price and we would come back.
