XOYO, Basement

Had an amazing night out on Tuesday night, definitely would recommend for people who like house and techno music. staff amazing with their speed serves, and making sure your happy with everything. Definitely coming back for another night out.

The Google reviews put me off going to the club a bit, but as I had my place (jungle cake) I went anyway! First of all, we were greeted by the security team (did being foreign help? I don't know). Having nothing to reproach myself for (alcohol/drugs), the evening went very well. Drinks are pretty expensive, but I suppose that's how it is in most London clubs. Special mention to the sound in the large room, which was well-balanced and (very) powerful, making it ideal for bass & jungle music. For geeks, the room is equipped with void acoustics.)

The security and door management of this place is outrageous. If you are a woman, I would avoid XOYO as much as you can - the security, “management” (man called Rico / Riku), and their “medics” - are the most unprofessional people I have ever come across. Not only do they disrespect women but they also make a concerted effort to make their female customers feel unsafe. I understand the need for safe guarding the premises to ensure it is a decent place for club goers, but the management of this place needs to take better care in ensuring they are hiring people who are competent and can use their own initiative. The security and door manager (and “medic”) were unnecessarily aggressive and patronising. Very disappointed. Would heavily advise not to go to this club as a woman.
