The Riverside Museum, Scotland’s Museum of Transport and Travel is the new home for Glasgow’s world-class Transport and Technology Collection.

The Zaha Hadid-designed building is a masterpiece of architecture, a perfect complement to the stunning and exciting displays within. This exciting new attraction also offers several possibilities to clients seeking a topical and fascinating venue in which to hold corporate events such as private dinners, drinks receptions or meetings. The Museum’s magnificent collection can also be enjoyed exclusively by guests attending a private evening event.

Main Street is a magnificently atmospheric recreation of a typical Glasgow street spanning the years between 1895 and 1930.

The setting is enhanced by authentic period shopfronts and accessible interiors. A subway station and typical vehicles of the period are also situated within the Main Street area. The Main Street is a superb location with a real difference for a standing reception for up to 120 guests.

Amazing museum, saw real size Scottish trains, really good, and the anchored ship was unique for me. it's really great that the museum is completely barrier-free, including explanations in sign language and special opening times for people on the autism spectrum. One of the best automobile and trains museum I ever seen, there is a lot to see and learn, they also have a boat museum that is free, it is not part of the museum but it is located in the back.

Most the things I saw there, I only see them in a movie. Therefore, I couldn't wait to take pictures. Before I released I have taken over 300 pictures and my Nokia 7.2 battery run low. I meant it went off. Make a time and come and enjoy yourself in Glasgow and you will never regret it.

Really nice place. Exceeded my expectations. I didn't think so many interesting things could be in there. Plenty of parking spaces and there is no entry fee.

A great place to visit, we spent over two hours in the museum including a walk around the tall ship which is docked at the back of the museum followed by coffee & cake. Definitely a place to visit whether on your own or with friends or family.

Riverside museum is a must visit on a short trip to Glasgow. The collection speaks about the industrial past of Glasgow and how it embraced the manufacturing culture after the victorian era. Exhibits are well maintained and interactive touch displays add to the interest. It's free to enter about a fifteen minute walk from the closest subway.Ample parking is also available in the complex.Exhibits cover the progress in automotive, rail locomotives , ship building and planes.
