Can't fault the hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is lovely. The hotel is set on lovely, well kept, grounds. There are nice walks. You definitely need a car if you want to get out and about.

Had a lovely spa experience here a gift for my birthday, staff were absolutely fabulous friendly and welcoming showed us round the facilities and made sure we were happy. Had the most fantastic massage from Tania very knowledgeable and talented lady who managed to make me feel very relaxed, this was then followed by a delicious afternoon tea, highly recommend, lovely hidden gem away from the city centre, with great staff and excellent way to chill out and relax

End of honeymoon surprise booking for us by Tenon Tours! Absolutely wonderful! The spa was great to unwind from the 1000 mile travel we did around Scotland and the staff was helpful and friendly. Dinner and breakfast were great! Room was superb! We didn’t get a chance to explore the grounds but not because of the hotel, just short time plus it was raining! Close to the airport so it was wonderful and convenient as the final night on our trip. Hotel arranged a taxi to the airport for us in the morning. Couldn’t have been happier with our honeymoon finish!

Mainly Spa: Incredibly disappointing experience. We expected a 5 star quality experience but the entire building and spa experience was at best a 1 star. While the staff were incredibly friendly it felt like the pool at a local gym or a cheap airport lounge. The building itself was outdated, carpets and furniture felt extremely old and unimpressive. Furniture was stained and plastic. It has an incredible location but feels like the inside is in disrepair and the owners have run out of money. Blue cables hanging from the ceiling of the pool, murky pond outside the pool, the layout of the spa had you walking through the pool to the changing room. We left early even though we paid for the day. To reiterate the staff were friendly and sweet and accommodating, this is a matter of management and experience design and an overall makeover. Small touches to elevate the spa experience: It really is in the details: After the treatment serving the glass on a saucer with a sprig of lavender, softer gowns with a lavender (or other) smell, revamp the relaxation room with flowers, using essential oils to infuse the room, asking the person what their essential oil "profile" is and creating an experience for the senses (orange citrus, lavender calming etc). While these are small details to try and improve (im sure more online), the entire hotel needs a makeover overall. It felt very outdated and cheap.
