Copthorne Hotel Manchester, Regent Suite

The rooms are sound. Some aspects are a little tired, but a good experience overall. Well located for the quays, central bay and Lowry. I was happy with my experience, and the price was ok. I was lucky enough to have a view of Salford Keys and the sunset filled my window space! After spending the night here, i found i had no tv remote, no water is provided in the rooms, and nor are toilet brushes. There's no sign that says you can drink water from the bathroom tap, so i was thirsty all night. Ivr never stayed in a place that doesnt provide water. This tips the balance for me, especially as there was no apology for the lack of remote. Ive downgraded this place from probably will stay here again to probably won't. Shame, as the location and views are so good. I have downrated it AGAIN! I got back to my room and found the bathroom had not been cleaned, even with the 'clean my room' tag dangling...which they advertise heavily. Above, you'll see my ever increasing disappointment unfold. This place gets worse the deeper you dig! However, breakfast was great if you like the full english. Lovers of continental breakfast...not so much.

Perfect area for where we needed to stay. Hotel is more 2 /3 star. Definitely not a four star. Due to cobwebs in bedroom. Chair at deck is noughing more than a dangerous place to sit. You sit on it and you fly backwards in to tilt portion. No glasses etc in bathroom though pictures showing them. Generally needs updating. On the positive side the wifi was great. But at over £100 a night. Definitely not worth the money.
