The Star by Liverpool Street is an amazing venue, located just a few minute's walks from Liverpool Street Station. Serving an ever-changing selection of craft beers, gorgeous cocktails, and fine wines, complemented by a delicious food menu curated by Chuck Burger Bar.
Making this the perfect location to grab a bite to eat for lunch, meet friends after work, or party at the weekend. The basement of the pub is Karaoke Heaven with five individually themed karaoke rooms and two large function spaces that are available to hire.
The Glam Palace is a gorgeous function space ideal for 40 seated or 80 standing. Think 80s glam meets neon chic. We can provide DJ equipment and have a Funktion 1 sound system available, imagine hosting your party with us sipping cocktails from the private bar, whilst a DJ takes to the decks to get everyone moving.
The space is perfect for all functions whether it be birthday parties, office parties, or glam meeting space!

January 2024I booked the Glam Palace function room for my 30th and am really pleased with the venue and the team. Venue itself was a good size for the guests, decorated well and with a good mix of space to dance and sit. Staff were really friendly and helpful and made my celebration even more special. Only tiny drawback was the karaoke didn't have some classic karaoke bangers (all star smash mouth for example).

April 2024Went on a Friday night for a friend's 40th birthday, and we all had such a fun time! Started in a private karaoke room, then we migrated out to the public room karaoke. All of it was amazing, but I have to call out Reynagh for being the absolute BEST. On top of being lovely to interact with, she checked in with us to make sure we were having a good time, seamlessly extended our private room another hour when we decided we didn't want to stop, and even reserved tables in the public room for us once we headed out to join the crowd. Reynagh is top notch!

February 2024We had a fantastic time at The star last night. The food & the place was brilliant!! Such a lot of different things going on here. The people that worked here were so helpful nothing was too much trouble. We especially loved Rana (hopefully ive got the name right) & Cassandra the drag queen. Cassandra entertained us she was great! & looked fabulous!! Rana was taking our pictures, checking in on us in our Karoke booths just so helpful & a lovely personality. All in all we had a fabulous time. Thank u all 🔥

January 2024Service and general condition of the shop was amazing. Have to give a special shoutout to Arthur, Yinka and Jemimia, each of them made me and all my friends feel so welcome and they are fantastic at their jobs. One of the bartenders was fantastic, making me a drink I’ve never had before because I didn’t know what to get. The pink room was incredibly clean and the song selection was so wide. The service was next level, genuinely nothing to fault and I wish this business all the best !!

January 2024Went here on Wednesday after trying another pub that was inexplicably super busy and very bland. Walked into the Star and clocked a green leather armchair and sofa, we instantly knew this was the place for us. Super friendly staff a fairly chilled out atmosphere and busy but not uncomfortably so. Also noticed a few people there having a drink on their own which to me is a good indication of a welcoming place. Plus they do Lucky Saint on tap which is delightful. I'll probably head back to try their current incumbent in the kitchen - Chuck burgers as they look pretty decent.
