Booked a nights stay for our 10 year wedding anniversary as we got married here. Cancelled at short notice leaving little options to find an alternative. They were able to suggest alternative midweek dates earlier in the month, but unwilling to honour the price we booked it at (5 times the price).

Bartle provided just the most superb wedding reception for my daughter yesterday. From the magnificent surroundings to the wonderful food, everything was perfect from start to finish. Lovely canapes, attentive and courteous staff, lawn games for the children and beautiful facilities all came together to make it a day that simply could not have gone better.

My best friend got married here yesterday. The night before, we stayed in Thicket Lodge where John couldn’t do enough to help us. The day of the wedding, all hotel staff were extremely friendly, polite, and professional. And finally, during the meal and reception, the waiting/serving staff were absolutely fantastic. A special mention to Jess, who served food throughout the day, and drinks in the evening, and was extremely professional, very accommodating, and all round a really pleasant girl to speak to. Thank you to all the team for a wonderful day!

Really enjoy coming back to this great place. We got married here 10 years ago and can't fault the service and the quality. We recently went back for our anniversary and stayed in the Ivy Cottage. Nice and spacious room with private hot tub. We really enjoyed the grazing hamper filled with top quality local treats. Looking forward to our next visit.
