A fun show where Charles Dickens invites you into his home for dinner and tells you all about his latest ghost story (we saw A Christmas Carol). It was a very clever set up but you could definitely tell we we in the cheap seats!! The story was well told but did rush some aspects, which meant that those of my party who didn't know the story well got a little lost... The musicians were incredible and, as much as this is described as a one man show, they were integral to the staging and were ace (as were the audience members who were invited to take on a small role!) The food was very nice and so were the drinks... But these are quite expensive on top of what is already a very pricey ticket (baring in mind that, as I said earlier ~ we were in the cheap seats) The set up and layout are brilliant ~ they have definitely spent a lot of time and effort on the staging and decor. Would I rush back again to see them? That would very much depend on the show they were putting on.... You have to really love it to make it worthwhile.

Such a great set up and experience. The decor and how everything has been staged is truly remarkable. We enjoyed the Christmas Carol and the performer was absolutely sublime. Along with the musicians this one man show was terrific. The audiences do get to take part in some scenes and selected individuals become part of the show. What stops me giving this a full five stars is the food. The food was a massive let down. It was not tasty, served cold and quality is poor. Roast potatoes were so hard you can break your teeth. I asked for replacements and those too were not much better. Service was generally good.
