NESTLED IN THE HAMPSHIRE COUNTRYSIDE AND SURROUNDED BY WOODLANDS
Audleys Wood Hotel in Basingstoke, Hampshire, was a much loved home for much of its life and it is perhaps this episode in its history that gives the mansion such warmth and comfort to this day.
Built in the 1880s as a private home for Thomas Pain, it subsequently enjoyed a rich and colourful history, with owners and visitors including the rich and famous. Today it is a 72 bedroom, 4 star hotel surrounded by woodlands and seven acres of private grounds.
The hotel offers a range of bedrooms, from Classic to Feature rooms. Whether you are visiting for business or pleasure, Audleys Wood has so much to offer. It is the perfect venue for christenings, birthdays, anniversaries, engagements or just getting together with good friends for some fine dining. The Garden Pavilion is a self contained wedding venue and for meetings and conferences there are a whole host of options we know you will like. Find us just 18 miles from Reading and 32 miles from Southampton, with easy access from the M3.
The Sir George Bradshaw, located on the ground floor of the main house, has plenty of natural daylight and its doors open out on to the hotel grounds. It is neutrally decorated and named after one of the early occupiers of Audleys Wood, known for the Bradshaw railway guides.

We came here for afternoon tea between Xmas and New year. It was fabulous! Wonderful food and service. They do a children's afternoon tea too, which my child enjoyed very much. I made a specific request when I booked, and this was action without any issue, which I am very grateful for. Would absolutely return! There was a wedding taking place at the same time, and I imagine it would be a fabulous place to get married.

Photographing a wedding at Audleys Wood Hotel was an enchanting experience, thanks to its grand Victorian architecture and the surrounding seven acres of private woodland. The hotel's gardens and the elegant interior provided a variety of stunning settings for both formal and candid shots. The staff were wonderfully supportive, contributing to a seamless and joyful day. I am keen to return to Audleys Wood Hotel and further capture its unique blend of history and natural beauty in future wedding photography.
