Wandsworth Civic Suite, Civic Hall

Wandsworth Civic Suite is a beautiful suite in a grade II listed building next to Wandsworth town hall. Made-up of two spacious interconnected function rooms - Civic Hall and Banquet Suite, which are often hired together, with an overall capacity up to 600 people seated - it can accommodate range of events such as conferences, corporate parties, weddings, receptions, performances, funerals.

The Civic Suite has sprung maplewood flooring, and wood-panelled walls. The foyer comprises marble fixtures and 1930s chandeliers, along with portraits of former local mayors on the walls leading up to the room, giving it an Old World ambiance. The Civic Suite is licensed for civil marriages and civil partnerships.

The Civic Hall is a large versatile room with its own stage and plenty of space for up to 280 guests seated. It is a blank canvas venue, can be decorated on any preference. Perfect for range of large events - conferences, corporate parties, weddings, receptions, performances, funerals.

Wooden flooring means that you can create a space for dancing with or without a dancefloor, and state of the art lighting adds atmosphere and colour to your event space and to enhance your décor. Great for large events, this space is the perfect all-rounder to take your guests through from morning to midnight.

There is a ceiling-mounted projector in the Civic Hall. It can be easily accessed by plugging in your laptop to the necessary extension cable on the stage. The screen is four metres wide and can accommodate the latest widescreen formats, which will be determined by your laptop specification. You are welcome to bring in your own projector. The PA system has speakers throughout the building with the facility to isolate sound from certain area. Background music can be played using an MP3 player, iPod, laptop and smartphones via a 35mm jack. Microphones and stands for speeches or announcements, microphone sockets in various areas of the Civic Hall and Banquet Hall.

Civic Hall is interconnected with Banquet Hall which can be used for banquet style meals, additional seating and overflow. With the ability to have the side doors open or closed it’s also perfect for segregated weddings.

Wandsworth Civic Suite is a dry hire venue and you are welcomed to bring your own caterer. No corkage fee. Alcohol licence.
