Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel, Chenin

My wife and I went for a spa day for her birthday. We had absolutely amazing customer service and a special mention to James who was exceptional, he went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and special. This is what great customer service is. Restaurant for lunch was fantastic, spa was lovely clean and more than expected. All the staff were absolutely lovely. We will return.

During my stay at the West Cliffe Hotel in Bournemouth, I found the experience to be quite disappointing overall. While there were some positive aspects, such as the breakfast, the negatives far outweighed them, and I would not recommend staying here or consider returning myself. Negatives: - Spa Facilities: The spa facilities were outdated and failed to meet my expectations. Specifically, the jacuzzi was cold, the sauna was not warm enough, and the steam room lacked adequate steam, making both facilities quite underwhelming. - Lack of Sunbeds: There was a notable lack of sunbeds by the pool upstairs, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the pool area. - Towel Request: Upon realizing that there was only one towel in the room for two people, I requested an additional towel from reception. Although I was assured that one would be sent up in the morning, it never arrived, leaving us to share the single towel. - Shower Drainage: The shower in my room did not drain properly, resulting in a pool of water accumulating during use. This was both a slip hazard and unhygienic, as shown in the attached photo. - View from the Room: The view from my room was extremely disappointing, as it looked out onto rusting vents. This is not the scenic experience I expected from a hotel of your reputation. (Please see attached) Positives: - Breakfast: The breakfast served was satisfactory, offering a decent variety and quality of food. The price of a one-night stay was terribly over-priced. Do not go if you want to go to the spa.
