Chotto Matte, The Lava Lounge

An amazing experience with lovely staff and chic atmosphere. I ordered a mock tail, which was delicious I have to visit the bathroom and it did not disappoint ! Mirrors everywhere even in the toilet to fix up privately and the lighting was excellent to take pictures. There’s also a little hallway before the bathroom with neon art on the wall which is very interesting There was no waiting for a table as it was past midnight when I visited.

This restaurant I would say is probably one of the best which I have been to in London. The atmosphere and music is always 10/10. They play the best house music you’ll hear. With dimmed lighting and a stunning bar, this truly is a great vibe. They also have a DJ I think every Friday and Saturday too, however upstairs they have a quieter setting which is amazing. The food is to die for! I loved every bite of it down to the last one, which is usually a rare case when it comes to restaurants, as when you’re full, food doesn’t usually taste as good; but Chotto Matte really breaks that mould. I really loved the crispy tuna rice and the drinks are also perfect! I would highly recommend and will most definitely be returning again and again!

Amazing tasty food. We went as a group of 3 and got to try a wide range of the menu. The black shrimp were to die for-We ordered them twice! The citrus flavour in the sea bass ceviche was moreish. The crispy sushi was something we have not tried before. I would definitely go back and recommend. We went on a warm Friday evening in June. We sat upstairs, the interiors suit the style of the restaurant and background music. The downstairs has an open plan bar for walk in, great place to soak in Soho vibes.
