    Very bad university. Courses gets full in 30 minutes wherelse we've payed the registration fee that they said will " secure us space ". This is more like a fly by night school. The don't know how to communicate with students. The worst place to be even the SRC is so useless all they know is give other people the platform to buy space then the rest of us don't matter because we don't have money. I wished I had a better option

    I'm very disappointed with VUT,sent my daughter 's application on Monday and today it's Friday,paid the application fee but we never received email/sms confirming our application, tried calling the school and the number is not even going through.

    My son was admitted here, they promised to communicate with him in January about the date of registration, he never received any communication from VUT, mid january when he was trying to register the system showed that it is already closed.The following week we saw that the registration is extended, I paid for registration fee , both for tuition and Res, my son drove all the way from Cape Town to VUT , I paid R2400 return ticket from Cape Town VUT for nothing, when he got there he was told the course he applied for is full.They gave him a refund form so as to get his money back, I sent all the documents that are required for a refund to be processed, it is almost 2 months now but still VUT have not paid my money back. I have been trying to call them no one is picking up the phone, I sent the emails and the documents/proof of payment, certified copy of my id, confirmation of my account, the only response I got was "received" it's almost 2 months now I have not received my money, such a disorganised university with incompetent staff.

    I’m very disappointed with this school on how they operate. I also applied got an admission letter then I called in order to ask on how to make registration payment, they did pick up and I sent everything all done and dusted. Only to find out that the student enabler wasn’t still accessible. So I called again and it allowed me to register but only to find out that it was already full. So I was calling to get a refund and their phones are not going through. I felt like this school is more operating like a fly by night. Because they are not answering emails nor even their phones. And on my side I thought online registration would be fast and convenient for me since during the week I was always working. So now I have to make a plan to go to VUT personally in orders to get my refund back since I’ve decided that it’s not really the best institution in terms of communicating with the students. VUT has poor communication platforms and that really affects the processing of information.
