We had our son's first birthday party here a couple of weeks ago. Ben and Sarah were fantastic throughout all of the planning stage and on the big day. They allowed us to tailor the buffet menu how we wanted, decorate the orangery and bar area and bring outside entertainment. The food in the buffet was very delicious and there was plenty to go around for our 95 guests. We had a lot of positive feedback from our guests - many asked how we found the venue. Bar service was great and so were the team cleaning plates and glasses throughout the event. Highly recommend birthday parties and gatherings at this well ran family hotel. We did not use any rooms so cannot comment on these or rate them.

Just spent two wonderful nights at The Old Vicarage our second visit and it didn't disappoint. From arriving to leaving we have been thoroughly spoiled with warm welcomes, great hospitality and excellent food. We had a room just across from the main hotel in one of the ground floor suites which included our lovely retired guide dog Kara. The hotel is extremely dog friendly and nothing is too much trouble to make for a comfortable stay. We had Sunday Lunch there were 8 of us plus four dogs all were made to feel very welcome. The food was delicious and it was clean plates all round. The surroundings are peaceful and in a quiet location with stunning views and a warm welcome from a friendly herd of inquisitive cows who love to be made a fuss of. If looking for a lovely location with Iron Bridge and Bridgnorth not far away we would highly recommend The Old Vicarage

What a wonderful place for a lovely meal. Feels really exclusive, and is so homely and friendly with stunning food that is amazing value for such good quality and flavour. We've tried the Sunday lunch, which is the tastiest we've had. The afternoon tea is a wonderful treat where ours had the nicest warm flapjack! We have recently been for a tasting menu and the brown bread ice cream was very new to us and delicious! Something we would definitely have again! And I've never tasted a pannecota like it! Needless to say, we will continue going back to enjoy amazing food in such a warm, relaxing beautiful and very friendly environment and highly recommend it for a fabulous meal. We look forward to the future menus!

Just returned from a hugely enjoyable stay. Our room was comfortable with beautiful countryside views. Our evening meal was excellent. Fine dining so quality over quality. Service was highly attentive. We thought the accommodation was very good value and very relaxing and peaceful. We took our dog Lola and she was fine

Just OK. We stayed at the old vicarage the night before a wedding at Davenport house. Can’t fault the staff on reception who were very friendly. We were planning to eat at the restaurant but while sitting in the bar we found the atmosphere very uncomfortable, kind of felt like a waiting room, so we made other plans. The room itself was nice enough and comfortable. It was surface level clean but there were cobwebs on the dressing table lamp and dirt in the corners of the bathroom and on the window sills. Also, the milk packets for the coffee were all out of date. The breakfast was ok but quite small. My husband had scrambled eggs which came as a thin liquid with bits of egg in, never seen that before! Overall, we were quite disappointed considering how much we had paid for the room and breakfast and wouldn’t stay here again.
