Wroxton House Hotel is a privately owned 4 star hotel just 5 minutes from the centre of Banbury and 3 miles from J11 of the M40. Dating back in parts to 1649, it has 32 bedrooms, split between the main house which retains its character and quirky feel and the contemporary new wing. Executive and superior rooms are also available for that special occasion. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the hotel.

Two private events rooms are available, the largest of which will seat up to 90 guests and has plenty of natural daylight, air-conditioning and access to its own private terrace and garden. Both private rooms are also licenced for civil wedding ceremonies. Ample complimentary car parking is also onsite.

The hotel has an enviable reputation for excellent food and Restaurant '1649' offers a distinctive, contemporary menu in relaxed surroundings. A second AA Rosette was awarded in 2017.

A comfortable lounge, bar and new orangery is at the heart of the hotel with comfortable sofas and log burning fires. Afternoon teas are a firm favourite all year round as well as drinks on the terrace during the Summer.

Wroxton House is ideally placed for a multitude of tourist attractions, chief among them, Wroxton Abbey (actually a Jacobean manor house and now a private university), Broughton Castle, Bicester Village, Hidcote Gardens, Blenheim Palace, Bletchley Park and Warwick Castle. The village of Wroxton is also a gem with honeystoned cottages, thatched roofs and a duck pond.

The Broughton Room is situated on the ground floor and is easily accessible from the main lounge area. It has plenty of natural daylight which includes a roof lantern and 3 French doors which overlook a private terrace and garden. It has complimentary WiFi, a music system and air-conditioning.

Great food and very pleasant staff but having stayed for several nights the same menu kept on appearing and so became a little boring. Fantastic breakfast choices though

Stayed here Friday 23rd for 2 nights, the rooms are lovely we had no 9 with a balcony with tables and chairs. The staff are very helpful and polite and seem to go that extra mile for you. The only negative points, was the dinner on the Friday evening and the breakfast there was only Pork and Leek sausages. The cappuccino's are £4.00 each ( quite expensive) in a small cup, it came with a cookie, but if you have a few cappuccino's who can really wants to eat lots of cookies! We have a lovely enjoyable weekend.
