When booking my visit with my small daughter i chose this place for its location. But i can't say enough great things about the staff. They treated my little girl like the Queen herself. From the milk and cookie turn down to just downright friendliness that i didn't encounter everywhere in London. And the location really couldn't be beat. We were able to do everything you'd want to see in just a few hours walking and then grabbed a cab back. Worth every penny!!!

I had a wonderful first afternoon tea experience at The Rubens at the Palace during my visit to London. As a tourist, I loved getting the full British experience and sampling a variety of traditional finger sandwiches, pastries and sweets—the scones with the clotted cream were particularly delicious! If there's a particular item you love, they'll even bring you more. The best part of the experience, however, was my server, Bianca, who was welcoming, personable, and attentive from the moment I arrived. She even surprised me with a special dessert featuring a handwritten “Welcome to London” message, which was such a thoughtful touch and something I really appreciated as a visitor. Her warmth and professionalism made afternoon tea at The Ruebens especially memorable. I would absolutely recommend afternoon tea at The Ruebens if you’re visiting London and want to experience a classic British tradition. Thank you, Bianca, and everyone there for an exceptional afternoon!

This hotel was amazing. I was completely shocked at how small the rooms were given how much money we were paying per night. Fortunately, we knew one of the managers or owners and they upgraded us. I guess because London is not very big, you're really paying through the nose to be in a great location and indeed, we were across the street from Buckingham Palace. The service was amazing. Everyone at the hotel was so nice, friendly and knowledgeable. They couldn't do enough for you. We had the English breakfast a few times and it was sensational. I highly recommend this hotel

This has been one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. I booked the Family Experience for two nights, which included free breakfast for the whole family throughout our stay, kids’ amenities, a special turndown service for the children, a cupcake masterclass, free meals for kids when dining with a paying adult, and lots of lovely little freebies. I also absolutely loved the pre-arrival form. We could request anything we needed for the room before we arrived, and there was even a section for the children to answer some questions about themselves and let the hotel know about any extra things they might need. It was such a thoughtful touch and really showed how much attention they put into making families feel welcome. From the doorman and receptionist to every member of staff we interacted with, everyone went above and beyond to make my daughter feel like a princess. She absolutely loved having her very own check-in and all the extra little touches that made her feel so special. The food in the New York Bar was amazing, and both breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant were fantastic too. We even requested some extra things, such as games for a family games night, and these were brought up and beautifully laid out while we were having dinner. The room was the perfect size for us. I know some people have commented that the rooms are small, but for me and my daughter it was absolutely perfect and gave us plenty of space to relax and unwind. My daughter already can’t wait to stay here again — and honestly, neither can I! The staff are a real credit to the hotel. Every single person we had contact with was friendly, attentive and genuinely made our stay feel special. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!
