Located in The Brunswick Centre just off Russell Square, this historic arthouse cinema has been refurbished to the highest standards in both technology and design.

All screening rooms have Sony 4K projectors, and the main screen offers a Dolby Atmos sound system for a multidimensional cinema experience, making it the ideal location for film premieres and galas. The venue’s five screens are named after historic venues operated by Curzon since 1934, including the beloved Renoir, which is the largest theatre-style auditorium seating up to 150 people (including a separate VIP balcony). We also have more intimate screening rooms that can seat up to 30 people. There are bars on all three levels of the cinema. This includes a ground floor foyer with outdoor seating, which can be used for networking and drinks receptions, hosting parties of up to 150 people.

Incorporating a modernist design throughout, Curzon Bloomsbury is one of our most elegant venues.

Great cinema overall though in the Phoenix screen room the leg room is quite small and there is no side table or stand to keep drinks or any snacks. I’ve been to other curzons in London and they all have a side table and more leg room (at least the ones I’ve been in). Also, I noticed the screen/projector sheet was dirty and it was visible during the film. Overall though, it was a nice cinema and good experience.

It was my first time in this cinema. It was a disappointment. It costs £18.5 for non-members and the seat was small and not comfortable and without a cup holder. Although the seats can change angles. It was still uncomfortable as it kept slipping back. The projector was placed in a low position as people could block the projector when they walked past. There were also very limited Gluten-free options for the food. One thing that I really liked was the amount of break out space that is available. Although I preferred they make the cinema room bigger than the amount of break out space.
