Curzon Bloomsbury, Renoir Screen

I stupidly bought cinema tickets for me and my son without looking at the certification of the Film. My son clearly could not watch the film but the manager had no issue with providing me with a full refund. Needless to say, I was delighted and I ended up having a nice meal with my son before proceeding to do other things. The team were kind, gentle and supportive. This is very much a rarity nowadays.

Last Friday I checked out Curzon Bloomsbury for the first time, and honestly it was a pretty unique experience. From the outside, you wouldn’t even guess it’s a movie theater, it feels super low-key, almost like a café. Once you walk in, there’s a chill spot to sit, grab a drink, and hang out before your movie, which I thought was really cool. What stood out the most is the layout. You head downstairs to get to the screens, and it kind of feels like you’re heading down into a hidden movie theater. The -1 level has more of a lounge vibe with seating areas, and -2 is where most of the actual theater seating is. Everything looked clean, cozy, and really well put together. There was a small mix-up when my ticket was booked, I asked for a back row seat but ended up in the front, but honestly it wasn’t a big deal. Shoutout to the Canadian and British-Caribbean staff members, you guys were super friendly and welcoming, really made the experience better. Overall, I loved the vibe, the cleanliness, and the whole atmosphere. If you’re in the area, I 100% recommend checking it out.
