It was absolutely stunning. Surroundings were beautiful. Staff was very kind and helpful and friendly. We felt very well looked after. Now the food was another category by itself. Both my husband and I think that is probably the best food we had and we do eat in fabulous restaurants frequently.

We stayed at Old Manse for one night at the end of our 2-week trip through Scotland. We stayed in castles and boutique manors such as this, and Old Manse was by far our favorite. We had the Georgian Suite, which was incredible. The fire in the drawing room is wonderful, but having our own fireplace in our suite was amazing. The room is extremely well-appointed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The entire place and grounds are beautiful. Both dinner and breakfast were some of the best if not the best we had in Scotland…I cannot recommend it enough. Amy was incredible during our stay and is a huge part of why our stay was so wonderful. Everyone there went above and beyond, and the other guests were pleasant as well. We can’t wait to return, and I highly recommend Old Manse to anyone looking for a brilliant stay in Scotland.

Charming family owned and run hotel with a beautiful location in the highlands with a stunning garden. We walked to the bruar falls taking the back road behind the hotel. Nice walk and the falls are beautiful. Very comfortable beds in nicely decorated rooms. Shower was great and really enjoyed the products that were provided. They have 2 cute Highlander cows and we were able to watch when they were fed. Finally got to see them close, they’re very elusive. The drawing room with the fireplace is comfortable for some pre dinner drinks. Dinner itself was high quaility, with a lot to choose from and all high quality dishes. Good selection of wines. The boys were happy with the award winning beers. The staff were lovely, and went out of their way to make our stay special.

Absolutely lovely. My wife and I spent two nights here and could not have had a more fabulous time. The staff were superb and the accommodations were first rate. Met the owners, Archie and Ann, and they were delightful and totally took a personal interest in everything about their Manse. Additionally, loved the restaurant, the Orangery, which provided exceptional cuisine. Found this to be a true hidden gem.

Thoroughly enjoyed the quaint and personable experience at old Manse. Our hosts greeted us and helped us unload straight to our room, handing us a vintage skeleton key. We enjoyed a sit in the comfortably appointed drawing room with tea and a cocktail before supper. Angus proactively attended our beverage needs and kept a lovely fire stoked. After a day of walking and hiking it was a welcomed quiet. Dinner was superb- no hyperbole. We chose three courses and they all delighted. The dining room is flooded with natural light and the crew is small. Service excelled across our entire stay. Breakfast was just as wonderful. The attention to detail and guest make Old Manse an excellent choice. Quieter than staying in Pitlochry, restful for weary travelers. The Manse staff would have happily arranged to drive us to a nearby distillery or heritage site. We didn’t avail ourselves of this, but it is a stellar option for tasting whisky. Highly recommend this independent boutique hotel.
