Went for afternoon tea and the service and tea were lovely. It was a special occasion and we had a little room to ourselves with a lovely open fire. First time visiting but would t hesitate to recommend.

We went for afternoon tea, which was a gift from a friend. The sandwiches and cakes were amazing. The scones were so light. I had a choice of 12 different teas, i chose ginger and lemongrass, which came in a pot that held 3 cups. The service was excellent and the setting was idyllic. No faults at all.

Went to a 60th celebration with drinks and canapés. Used the pool, steam room and sauna and slept in a rather small bed. Some aspects rather dated but lots of history. Lovely cosy lounge with a fire and a good selection of single malts at the bar nearby. Good breakfast in the morning. Could use the spa for the rest of the day after checkout.
