About Venue
Hempstead House is a Victorian country house, spa hotel and restaurant. Located in the beautiful Kent countryside, the house is surrounded by four acres of perfectly manicured gardens and sweeping lawns. The grounds offer countless backdrops for your wedding photographs, including the pretty lily pond, thatched summer house, courtyard, stone fountain and swimming pool garden.
Our stylish reception rooms are bright and spacious and our floodlit terraces are ideal for a drinks reception. The Heritage Suite is accessed through the grand entrance and is licensed for civil ceremonies, seating up to 150. We have a licensed Roman style gazebo and our beautiful drawing room. We also have a range of smaller dining rooms for a more intimate reception.
Our luxurious bedrooms are all individually designed and we offer three honeymoon suites. You and your guests can relax after a full day of celebrations and will be able to make use of our fantastic facilities including our fitness suite with three swimming pools, sauna, steam rooms and gym. Our spa has five treatment rooms, a manicure and pedicure area, and a relaxation room.
Choose your wedding breakfast from our extensive award-winning menu. Our chefs will prepare fresh and delicious food which will be served by our warm and friendly staff. You will be looked after by our dedicated wedding coordinator and we will even provide you with a Master of Ceremonies to take care of the running on the day.

Cancellation policy
All payments are non-refundable. Credit vouchers will be issued if a reservation is cancelled within the cancellation policy. Bedroom reservations can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the date of arrival. Events and functions will receive a full credit should the booking be cancelled no later than 1 month prior to the arrival date. Cancellations made after this time are subject to a loss of deposit / cancellation charge.

Had a fantastic stay at Hempstead House. The team looked after us so well. The food we had in the evening was plentiful, very flavourful and a lot was locally sourced. We used the spa which was relaxing and well maintained. Definitely recommend staying in this independent hotel.

My mum and I always return to Hempstead house for special occasions. Whether it be afternoon teas, the rooms or the service at dinner, we cannot falter the excellent service and the friendly staff we encounter whenever we return. The rooms are always immaculately clean and we are always looked after regarding services during meal times. The menus are classy with ample portions and the ambience of the whole hotel and spa is relaxing and mellow. Whenever we have a special occasion, we always return and sometimes in between for a relaxing break. We get sad leaving this place when we have to check out and will always return! Thank you Hempstead House team for making our time always perfect and enjoyable!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A truly wonderful experience at Hempstead House Hotel and Spa. The setting is beautiful and peaceful — perfect for a relaxing getaway. The spa facilities were spotless and well-maintained, and the treatments were excellent. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly, professional, and always happy to help. From the comfortable rooms to the overall atmosphere, everything was top quality. Would definitely return and highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing escape. The restaurant was equally impressive. I started with the chicken liver, which was rich, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavour. For the main course, I had the steak — cooked exactly to my liking and beautifully presented. I finished with the cheeseboard, which offered a fantastic selection of cheeses and accompaniments. Every course was delicious, and the service throughout dinner was attentive without being intrusive. A real highlight of the stay!

Fantastic Venue! We held our wedding reception at Hempstead House, and cannot praise the venue and the staff highly enough. Danny the wedding organiser was perfect and really made us feel at ease and confident that everything would run smoothly, which it did! Our guests commented on the professionalism of Danny and the whole team. The food was first class. We had some rooms included in our wedding package, which were very comfy and luxurious, plus the breakfast was superb. Well done to Danny and all the team at Hempstead House, we have no hesitation in recommending this venue for a wedding, or simply as a nice hotel for a relaxing stay! Thank you!
