I recently stayed at The Clayton Hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the quick check-in process made me feel valued and welcomed. The efficiency of the staff at the front desk was impressive, and I appreciated not having to wait long after a long journey. Speaking of the staff, everyone I encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful. Their genuine hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. I had the pleasure of staying in the Tara Suite, which was both clean and spacious. The room's cleanliness was impeccable, and it provided plenty of space to relax and unwind. The hotel's food and drink selection was another highlight. The variety and quality were top-notch, catering to all tastes. The buffet breakfast was particularly impressive, offering a wide array of options to suit every palate. Overall, my stay at The Clayton Hotel was excellent. The quick check-in and check-out, friendly staff, immaculate Tara Suite, and superb dining options made it a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I choose this hotel as a place to stay because it was close to where I had to go for work abroad. It being my first time traveling abroad, I had an over all great experience. It is in a nice area, all the pubs and attractions are relatively close by. I got a complimentary bottle of prosecco because the weather was good when I stayed, Ha! For my first time being aboard this hotel was definitely a good experience overall. I hope to come here again for work or for pleasure. God bless, Ireland!

We were allocated an alternative room because of carpet stains & a faulty bathroom door lock that locked you in!!! The second room was only marginally better looking tired, basic & in real need of upgrade Our experience definitely took another hit at breakfast …..understaffing made the morning experience less than comfortable, waiting in a queue & observing many other frustrated guests waiting to be shown to a prepared table of which there were none…..only tables full of used plates cups & cutlery. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good & staff generally were polite but overall the experience wasn’t the best.

This hotel was chosen as part of a tour, the lobby and restaurant were pretty but that is where the good finishes. The bathroom was disgusting, the sink was clogged, the bath was very deep and hard to get into and out of and the shower temperature was uncontrollable. There were no outlets near the bed so I had to charge my phone with the only spare outlet behind the TV. I would never stay here again.

I can’t recommend enough that you avoid paying to stay at this hotel. The list of problems is comprehensive. They suffer from a lack of hot water regularly, especially in the morning. So cold shower only. No air conditioning (does not work). The rooms and general hotel are in dire need of complete renovation. There is mould in the bathrooms, stains everywhere on carpets and bugs crawling out of drains in the bath and sink plus bed bugs. There is always food and rubbish left in the corridors and there is practically no soundproofing, so if anyone on your corridor is even slightly noisy, you’re not sleeping. On a slightly positive note, the location isn’t terrible. I recommend you look elsewhere.
