Titanic Venues Belfast, Titanic Exhibition Centre

The Northern Irish capital’s repurposed maritime hub has a three-pronged events offer. On the top floor of the strikingly contemporary Titanic Belfast building, the Titanic Suites look out to the slipways and lough where the famous ship was built and launched. Inside too, it draws inspiration from the White Star Liner, with plush interiors centred around a replica of its Grand Staircase. Close by, SS Nomadic is an original quarter-sized sister to the Titanic that immerses dining groups in a period White Star experience, while the 6,000sq m Titanic Exhibition Centre is a thoroughly modern host of large-scale exhibitions. Both of Belfast’s airports are within a half-hour transfer of all three, and a Titanic Hotel is promised for September 2017.

Great experience and a really recreated museum. The visit is long and you can see the effort it has put to made it possible. Not cheap but worth the visit, so entertaining for every age and a little piece of history. It’s a must when in Belfast!

Went for the Magical Christmas Experience. It was magical and amazing. My wee boy loved it. The woman who was the Chief Elf was amazing. My son is autistic and was scared to see Santa, she talked him through it and managed to get him to go meet Santa, which he ended up loving. Santa was brilliant too, took the time to talk to my son, put him at ease & was just really patient. We also went for the festive Afternoon Tea. It was brilliant. Food was great, the room was lovely. The live music was a nice touch. And of course the staircase was amazing. The staff were lovely and attentive.

Well rounded museum with the history of Belfast and how it became so important for building ships, then onto the history of the Titanic being built (with an interactive ride!), then eventually to the sinking, rescue efforts, a memorial, and how they found where the ship is now. Definitely worth a visit. We went right at opening and there were a few young school groups there, but we didn’t end up seeing them throughout the exhibit. Recommend checking out the slips and SS Nomadic after.

Very intuitive museum, don't miss the details and make the most of everything inside because the price is not the cheapest, the ticket price could be lower. Admission for students only on weekdays. Don't forget to visit the boat outside and the museum ticket is valid for visiting the boat in the external area.

Very fascinating history with well thought out exhibits and a very helpful and informative audio guide to take you through. It was quite busy when we were there and as a result of that found that people were shoving past to keep moving, particularly at some of the exhibit entrances that were quite narrow. Overall, I really enjoyed this visit and would recommend visiting if you are in Belfast.
